Congratulations summer readers!
Over 110,000 babies, kids and teens participated in the 2017 program. That's almost 75 percent of all youth in Multnomah County!
The Grand Prize winner this year is a patron at Capitol Hill Library--that reader won a family trip for four to Great Wolf Lodge Water Park. The family of the winner is holding it in reserve for a holiday surprise--what a great way to make Summer Reading last.
The Preschool Runner-Up Prize goes to Amalia, who visits Hillsdale Library. Amalia wins a party for 10 at the Portland Children's Museum.
The Elementary Runner-Up Prize goes to Betty, patron of Midland Library. She will receive a bike, helmet and lock from River City Bicycles.
The Middle School Runner-Up Prize winner this year is Regan, patron at Sellwood Library. Regan won a $250 shopping spree.
The High School Runner-Up Prize winner this year is Dakota, a long-time North Portland Library patron. He receives a $250 shopping spree.
Check back next spring for information on Summer Reading 2018.
